Zviad Kharebava, Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Kharebava leads Kala Capital’s management team. Earlier in his career, he worked as a financial consultant in Georgia’s Ministry of Finance and then as a director of the Economic Policy Department in the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia.  In 2005, he was appointed as an advisor on economic issues to the country’s Prime Minister and participated in the creation of the country’s latest economic reforms.

Mr. Kharebava joined the private sector in 2007 to advise foreign investors on new business opportunities within Georgia. He graduated from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, with a PhD in Mathematics and MS in Economics.

Giorgi Kavelashvili, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Kavelashvili is a seasoned finance executive who has worked in Georgia’s public and private sector, and has published several papers on issues related to the Georgian economy. Prior to joining Kala Capital, he oversaw energy projects for a leading consultancy specializing in Georgia. Mr. Kavelashvili served as the Advisor on economic issues to the Prime Minister of Georgia during 2007 and was Deputy Chairman of the Department of Statistics at the country’s Ministry of Economic Development. Earlier in his career he worked with Peoples Bank of Georgia and the Center for Social and Economic Research where he advised the government of Georgia on macroeconomic and structural reforms.

Mr. Kavelashvili received Bachelor and Master Degrees in Economic Sciences from Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
